Professional Filmmaking

A broad understanding of the technical, creative, and business aspects of the film industry, with an in-depth focus on one or two areas of special interests. APU will provides training in the state-of-the-art techniques with intellectual exposure to the wider world of media and liberal arts studies. Students work toward the creation of a portfolio (“reel”) which showcases the student’s skills and vision in filmmaking and television production.

APU teaches the art and craft of filmmaking through a dynamic blend of instruction, hands-on film workshops, and immediate directing experience. Participants will learn about and explore the numerous visual, dramatic, and technical challenges that face directors.
